Helianthus (/ ˌ h iː l i ˈ æ n θ ə s /) is a genus comprising about 70 species of annual and perennial flowering plants in the daisy family asteraceae commonly known as sunflowers. Across (5 cm), with light yellow ray florets surrounding a dark yellow central disk. The name helianthus refers to greek helios meaning the sun and anthos meaning flower.

This spring i wanted to move it because it was too tall for the location and the rootball was huge for the 2nd year. Given its height, it goes well with a tall grass, such as miscanthus sinensis 'silver feather'. I was surprised as i had never thought about it becoming invasive.
